![]() LLL Reptile did point me at a tortoise cave that would work, but it's huge and has an extremely large opening. I could make my own out of foam and grout, but it wouldn't be able to be disinfected. I've considered other options, like the box. I just find it surprising that there simply doesn't seem to be anything actually being made for this size of lizard anymore. Of course, this isn't the end of the world. It's really sad, actually, because I can tell he wants to brumate. That cave won't work for too much longer. ![]() She'll be a year at the beginning of 2016, so she has a lot to grow still. I've looked at PetCo and PetSmart, online and in person. I've reached out to Big Apple Herp, LLLReptile and Reptile Direct. They all have openings MUCH too small! I've looked into Exo Terra's caves and Zilla's rock dens. I've researched and found lots of size appropriate items. ![]() Everybody had coccidia at one point, and there's a reason they haven't been reinfected. I soak cage furniture in a bleach water solution then spray down with veterinary disinfectant, rinse and let dry. I need something solid that won't break down because I do a deep viv clean monthly, that includes disinfecting EVERYTHING in their tanks that isn't disposable. That knocks out a lot of the guinea pig plastic houses I was looking at. I'm not using any wood or similar materials, so that knocks those out. At 19.5 inches and 480 grams, with a width of 3" and a standing height, if he squirms low, of about 2" it's been hard. Recently I've started looking for a large hide for Kazoozles. ![]()
